Bioinformatics Engineering School

Historically the great technological advances of humanity have gone hand in hand with the development of scientific disciplines. That is why 40 years ago Bioinformatics was born, due to the need to use information technologies to process and give meaning to the thousands of biological data that are produced globally.

Universidad Andrés Bello not only commits to the future of this field with the work of the Center for Bioinformatics and Integrative Biology (CBIB), but also with the formation of new professionals through the School of Bioinformatics Engineering.

Both instances work together to ensure new generation of UNAB’s Bioinformatic Engineers play a strategic role as professionals with knowledge in areas such as biology, chemistry, maths and computer science, able to develop in national and international scientific and innovative scenarios.
